Position Overview

Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is seeking a dedicated detail-oriented and well-tenured Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team. This position offers the opportunity to be part of a well-established industry leader with a strong focus on employee well-being and success.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately process and code invoices, ensuring proper approvals and compliance.
  • Manage a full book of payables and weekly vendor payments to maintain optimal cash flow.
  • Oversee procurement card charges, employee expenses, and per diem funding requests.
  • Handle invoice intake via electronic systems and maintain organized digital records.
  • Resolve vendor and employee inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain detailed spreadsheets for GL accounts, including fixed assets, insurance, and prepaid items.
  • Research and resolve payment discrepancies and provide ad hoc reporting.
  • Support monthly close processes and other responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in high-volume Accounts Payable environments (500+ invoices/week).
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (Oracle, MS Dynamics, Great Plains, SAP, etc.) is a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines a MUST!

Required Work Hours

Monday to Friday, first shift.
